Dodi Tal is situated at an elevation of 3024 mts., north of Uttarkashi and is surrounded by dense woods of oak, pine, deodar and rhododendrons. The crystal clear lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan Golden Trout. The trek to Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi to Kalyani and is approachable by road. Kalyani to Agoda is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodi Tal is steep and through thick forests.
Best Season: The route is open throughout the
year, through in winter it is quite cold. For summers, a round trek is possible from
Hanuman Chatti to Uttarkashi via Dodi Tal.
ITINERARY --
2nd day: A day drive to Uttarkashi with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight
at Uttarkashi. |

3rd day: A drive upto Kalyani. Further 6 kms. trek to Agoda with pack
lunch. Dinner and overnight in tents.
4th day: 16 kms. trek to Dodi Tal with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight
in tent.
5th day: 16 kms. trek to Sima with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in
tent.
6th day: 18 kms. trek to Hanuman Chatti with pack lunch. Dinner and
overnight stay in TRH Hannuman Chatti.
7th day: 14 kms. trek to Yamunotri with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight
stay in TRH Yamunotri.
8th day: 14 kms. trek to Hanuman Chatti with pack lunch. Dinner and
overnight in TRH Hanuman Chatti.
9th day: A day drive to Haridwar via Mussoorie. Lunch enroute. Dinner and
overnight at Haridwar.
10th day: Haridwar - Delhi (210 kms.), after lunch departure to Delhi.
Arrival Delhi at 7 p.m.,. Tour Concludes.
